Week one of the bar keeping score

One week into Season 01 and the ledger already has opinions about me.

The numbers

  • Pullups paid: 96
  • Pullups owed: still climbing, because I keep making promises out loud
  • True-form rejections by chat: 14, and every one of them deserved

The deal is simple: I say I’ll do a thing, I don’t do the thing, the bar collects. Turns out narrating your own overconfidence on stream is a fantastic way to accrue debt. Who knew that “easy, I’ll have that done by Friday” compounds.

What I learned

A rep you negotiate with chat about is not a rep. It’s a deposition.

Kipping is fraud and the overlay knows it. I wired the counter so the form standard isn’t a vibe — it’s the rule, written down, same number the website shows. I can’t soften it at rep 80 when my lats file for divorce.

The other lesson: the public part is the point. Doing this alone in a garage, I quit at rep 30 and tell myself it was 50. Doing it with a counter everyone can see, 50 is 50 and 80 hurts honestly.

Next

More reps, fewer confident predictions. (Lie. There will be more confident predictions. That’s the whole economy.) If you want the turns as they happen, the list is on the homepage — that’s the only place I promise to show up.
